Starting a business for any entrepreneur can be daunting and a bit confusing, but for spiritual entrepreneurs it can be a doozy because all we really want to do is to help people.

In fact, building a business is the last thing we want to think about because it will take away from the time we have with our clients.

But if we want to have an impact on this world, to really play our role in this paradigm shift, then we must make a shift in ourselves. We must stop treating our gift as a hobby and start to look at it as a real business.

When it comes time to create that business, I consistently see 3 mistakes made by spiritual entrepreneurs and I want to share them here with you today so you can avoid making the same ones.

Mistake #1 – They Undervalue Their Gift

You know who you are, you have an incredible gift, so incredible that family and friends come to you ALL OF THE TIME for advice, guidance, and insight.

And you give away your gift for free don’t you?

Or maybe you are charging a little bit, and the thought of increasing your pricing makes you uncomfortable?

I have never understood why spiritual entrepreneurs don’t value their gift more than they do.

As a healer, lightworker, intuitive, life coach, etc. you are changing lives. Ask yourself this…after someone works with you, what mark have you left on their life? Are they living the same mundane life they were living before they worked with you? I doubt it. Your gift allows you to transform lives. Their lives will never be the same. What is that worth to them?

Once you see the transformation you provide, the value of your gift, you will begin to feel more comfortable with charging.

Here is a quick exercise: set a timer for 5 minutes and write out all of benefits a client receives from working with you.

Pretty amazing, isn’t it?

Now do yourself a favor and increase your pricing.

Mistake #2 – Thinking “Everyone else is already doing it, why should I?”

Comparison energy is a bitch (sorry for the language but I really couldn’t think of any other way to put it).

When we begin to compare ourselves to others all of our ugly insecurities creep into our heads.

So-and-so has 10,000 followers, I only have 120.
So-and-so already has that market targeted, who would want to work with me?
So-and-so has been doing this for years, I just started.

Oh, those nasty little thoughts. I know what it can feel like and it sucks.

These thoughts will stop you dead in your tracks and you absolutely cannot let them hold you back.

See, you are UNIQUE. Your life experiences make your perspective and your teaching unique. Not everyone will love you (I know, they are crazy not to love you, right?) but that also means that not everyone one loves the person you are comparing yourself to.

The key is to find the unique tribe for your unique message. Find the tribe that resonates with you and you WILL have success.

Another quick exercise: Take 5 minutes and write out what makes you unique.

You’re pretty amazing, aren’t you?

Mistake #3 – Don’t Start Building Their Tribe Immediately

This by far is the BIGGEST mistake.

Without a Tribe you don’t have a business. Period.

This was my biggest mistake. I waited way too long to start building my list. My business relied solely on one-on-one clients that came to me by word of mouth.

I will tell you right now, that was the dumbest thing I ever did (well, I am sure I can find something else, but let’s go with this for the time being).

Even if you aren’t ready to start your spiritual business just yet, I highly recommend you start building your tribe today.

Then, when you are officially ready to step out as a lightworker, healer, medium, life coach, etc., you have an audience to step out to.

And if you already have a spiritual business but you are ready to change more lives, then building your tribe immediately is a must.
